So, What Are We Celebrating This Year?

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, it is time to start thinking about Christmas! (Excuse me, “Winter Holidays”.)  I mean, that is the practice of most retailers – in fact, once Halloween has passed they usually start putting up holiday decorations and breaking out the Santa merchandise.  I’m pretty sure that most of us feel they are going just a little overboard and would like to see more focus on Thanksgiving in stores, but we all put up the tree the weekend after Turkey Day anyways.  So, apartment managers, it’s time to jump on the band wagon!

Residents love the feelings that holiday decorations evoke, and it is just one more way to add a touch of home to your community.  The most obvious choice of decoration is, of course, the Christmas tree:

A little overdone on the ornaments, but not a complete eyesore.

Just remember, you don’t want to alienate any of your residents, and chances are they don’t all celebrate Christmas.  So choose your decorations carefully, but don’t neglect to put any up, or someone might start getting very confused…

I think it’s time for someone to go talk to their local Pastor…or Rabbi.

At least “Luke” finds this funny, as opposed to the Christmas crusaders who are fighting in the War on Christmas.
